The contest whittles down contestants through a series of challenges with a final prize of $10,000 (I promise a good giveaway if I win....and fyi, I used the phrase "whittles down" before I saw that Foodbuzz used the same phrase. Hopefully great minds thinking alike is a good omen). Foodbuzz publishers and the judges choose those that move on for each round, buuuuuut, one lucky winner of Reader's Choice gets automatic advancement. Which is where you come in.

The few entries I've spied so far are very different from mine. All that I've seen take us through the blogger's personal journal with food. Which of course made me doubt my own entry. Did I interpret the challenge correctly? Should I have included more personal narrative? Omitted the tutorial and actually talk about me? I rarely post about my personal life outside of tidbits. And believe me, there is a lot of pretty dramatic material there that I could be tapping. Which is perhaps why it is absent. Too much weight to give you on top of all that sugar!
The challenge instructed: "create a blog post that defines you as a food blogger," that "makes you unique" and "sets you apart." So I'll have to hope I did interpret correctly. That my cookies, my drawings, my tutorials and the lack of me are what defines this blog. Hmmm. If by some far reaching chance I make it to the final challenge, then I'll put a little of me in here.

done!!! Best of luck!

ReplyDeleteI love your cookies. Decorating cookies is my next baking foray. I stink at it, so I love looking at yours and all the tutorials are great!
