all aboard the cookie express

So, still no kitchen. Still at least a week to go. Oh, I can't wait. Hopefully my posts will be less sporadic once our house is in order and slightly more renovated. But in the interim, I'm finding non-kitchen-required-cookie-related crafts to do.

My two year old adores trains. Anything with wheels--trucks, cars, buses--becomes a "choo choo" once she arranges them in a row in direct defiance to their original purpose. So I made her a paper doll version: the cookie express.

how to make your own cookie express

you will need:
color printer
letter-sized photo paper
scissors
this document

what to do:
Print the two-page document onto photo paper. Each page has three cars. Cut out each car, including the tab at the bottom. To separate each car, snip the line in the middle of the gray tabs connecting each car. Fold the tab at the bottom at the thin, black line and crease well. Prop up the train in any order you like.

  1. I like the model featured in this post. Does she take outside jobs? :-)
