dipping stuff in rainbow sprinkles

I have this odd surplus of mini rainbow nonpareils, and so I found stuff to dip in them. Why? I like the colorful coating and the added crunch. Scroll to the colorful end for the how-tos.

Kinda hard to put on the stick was this...

you can never go wrong with a...

and I even made use of my leftover...

what you need
lollipop sticks
candy, cookies or mini cakes
sprinkles

how to dip stuff in sprinkles
insert lollipop stick
dip in something to make the sprinkles stick (see below)
dip in sprinkles
let dry

what makes sprinkles stick
water (dip quickly and dab on paper towel first)
corn syrup (use a paint brush to coat the surface)
sugar glaze (whisk confectioner's sugar with a bit of water, then paint a thin coat on the cookie or dip and let the excess drip off well)

what to dip in what
water: candy, marshmallows
corn syrup: cakes and petit fours
sugar glaze: cookies

    We must have both been thinking rainbow non-pareils this week! Everything is better with sprinkles in my opinion! ;)

    I've been known to put rainbow non-pareils on broccoli, my kids will eat anything they are on! The swedish fish was an impressive feat--how'd you do that? :)
