how to make olympic ring cookies
you will need:*
dough
frosting
2 different size mini circle cutters
frosting colors (blue, green, yellow, black and red)
5 disposable frosting bags
5 couplers
5 size "5" decorating tips
5 rubber bands
*Find the cutters (I used a 1/2 inch fondant cutter and a 1 1/2 inch cookie cutter) and frosting bag supplies in the baking aisle of your craft store. Find concentrated pastes there, too, though I use Americolor soft gel pastes, a bit harder to find. Click on the link for tips where to buy. (I used Super Black, Sky Blue, Electric Green, Egg Yellow and Red.)

Roll out chilled cookie dough and cut out circles with the larger cutter. (If you're nerdy like me, you'll cut out a multiple of 5 so each color is represented the same number of times.) Cut out the center of the circles with the smaller cutter. Place on a parchment paper lined baking tray and bake according to the recipe. Let cool completely.

Prepare frosting and divide between the five colors. Tint red, blue, black, yellow and green. Prepare frosting bag with couplers and size "5" tips. Fill with each color and tie closed tightly with a rubber band.
step three: decorate your rings
Simply pipe a ring on each cookie with the 5 colors.
